LegCo Members visit the community facilities in Home Ownership Scheme courts (with photos)

Legislative Council Members visited two Home Ownership Scheme courts today (15 January) to follow up on issues raised by a deputation relating to the community facilities therein upon the divestment of properties by the Housing Authority to Link Real Estate Investment Trust.

Accompanied by representatives of the Administration, Members first went to Sui Wo Court in Sha Tin.  They observed the conditions of two lifts in Sui Wo Court Commercial Centre and the amusement facilities of the court playground to gain a better understanding of the conditions of those facilities and their maintenance responsibility.

Members then visited Tin Ma Court in Wong Tai Sin to observe the land boundary and the slope near the commercial centre.  They also visited the commercial centre to understand the services and facilities provided for residents, and took the opportunity to exchange views with a shop operator to understand the operating environment of the commercial centre.

Members who participated in the visit were Hon Mrs Regina IP LAU Suk-yee (Convenor), Hon Doreen KONG Yuk-foon, Dr Hon Wendy HONG Wen and Hon TANG Ka-piu.
