Integrity and Corruption Prevention Guide on Managing Relationship with Public Servants
Under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) ("POBO"), it is an offence for any person to offer any advantage to a public servant in return for any favour, to keep him/her sweetened for possible future favour, or simply while having dealings with the government department or public body in which the public servant is employed.
To help maintain a high standard of integrity in interactions between business operators and members/employees of The Legislative Council Commission, who are public servants under POBO, the Corruption Prevention Advisory Service of the Independent Commission Against Corruption has produced the Integrity and Corruption Prevention Guide on Managing Relationship with Public Servants for reference by private organizations.
