This research studies the current practices of fare revision process in Singapore, London and Seoul for privately-owned operators, and Paris, Toronto and New York for government-owned operators. In particular, the roles of transport-related advisory bodies played in the process are examined.
This research studies types of ownership, operational aspects such as fare structure, means of raising funds and performance indicators, as well as fare control mechanism of city bus services operated in selected overseas cities, which are Singapore, Seoul, London, Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, Paris, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, Bangkok and Taipei.
