At its meeting on 5 March 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following two resolutions: (1) Resolution moved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury under the Public Finance Ordinance. (2) Resolution moved by the Secretary for Transport and Housing relating to the Road Traffic (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulation 2008. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two motions not intended to have legislative effect: (1) Motion on "Promoting the introduction of monthly ticket and student fare concessions to all MTR lines", moved by Hon LAU Kong-wah as amended by Dr Hon Fernando CHEUNG Chiu-hung and Hon Andrew CHENG Kar-foo. (2) Motion on "Rebuilding the local agriculture and fisheries industries", moved by Hon WONG Yung-kan.
