2.4 Number of Hours of Station Productions
For the year 2007-08, ATV and TVB produced a total of 13 344 hours (39%) of television programmes on their analogue channels, representing an increase of 10% over 2007, and
27 563 hours on the digital channels8. Of the 293 channels provided by the domestic pay television programme service licensees, 61 (20.8%) were station-produced, representing an increase of 13% over the previous year. As for sound broadcasting, with the exception of RTHK Radio 6 relaying BBC World Service, the other 12 radio channels were produced by the broadcasters.

ATV's CCTV 4 SDTV channel was a direct re-transmission of the satellite feed CCTV 4 channel.
