At its meeting of 16 and 17 March 2011, the Legislative Council passed the following bill: Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2011. At the same meeting, the Legislative Council passed the following four resolutions: (1) Resolution moved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury under the Public Finance Ordinance. (2) Resolution moved by the Secretary for the Environment relating to the Buildings Energy Efficiency (Registered Energy Assessors) Regulation. (3) Resolution moved by Hon James TO Kun-sun relating to the extension of the period for amending the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule 5) Notice 2011 and the Securities and Futures (Financial Resources) (Amendment) Rules 2011. (4) Resolution moved by Hon Miriam LAU Kin-yee relating to the extension of the period for amending the Public Revenue Protection (Dutiable Commodities) Order 2011 and the Public Revenue Protection (Motor Vehicles First Registration Tax) Order 2011. The following two motions not intended to have legislative effect were also passed by the Council: (1) Motion on "The development of self-financing post-secondary institutions", moved by Hon Starry LEE Wai-king as amended by Hon CHEUNG Man-kwong, Hon WONG Kwok-hing and Hon Tanya CHAN. (2) Motion on "Promoting a slow food culture", moved by Hon Mrs Sophie LEUNG LAU Yau-fun as amended by Hon Fred LI Wah-ming and Hon WONG Yung-kan.
