At its meeting of 25 May 2011, the Legislative Council passed the following two motions not intended to have legislative effect: (1) Motion on "Safeguarding freedom of the press and the right to expression", moved by Hon Cyd HO Sau-lan as amended by Dr Hon Philip WONG Yu-hong. (2) Motion on "Hong Kong as a sustainable regional cultural hub", moved by Hon LAU Kong-wah as amended by Hon LEE Wing-tat and Hon Tanya CHAN.
