At its meeting of 6 July 2011, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills:

(1)Electoral Legislation (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2011, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs at Committee stage.

(2)Supplementary Appropriation (2010-2011) Bill.


At the same meeting, the Council passed the following seven resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Electoral Affairs Commission (Electoral Procedure) (Legislative Council) (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(2)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Electoral Affairs Commission (Electoral Procedure) (District Councils) (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(3)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Electoral Affairs Commission (Electoral Procedure) (Election Committee) (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(4)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Electoral Procedure (Chief Executive Election) (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(5)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Particulars Relating to Candidates on Ballot Papers (Legislative Council and District Councils) (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(6)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Food and Health relating to the Pharmacy and Poisons (Amendment) Regulation 2011 and the Poisons List (Amendment) Regulation 2011.

(7)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury relating to the Professional Accountants (Amendment) Bylaw 2011.


The following two motions not intended to have legislative effect were also passed by the Council:

(1)Motion on "Immediately announcing the resumption of the construction of Home Ownership Scheme flats", moved by Hon Alan LEONG Kah-kit as amended by Hon WONG Kwok-kin.

(2)Motion on "Studying the establishment of an innovation and technology bureau", moved by Dr Hon Samson TAM Wai-ho as amended by Dr Hon PAN Pey-chyou and Hon Emily LAU Wai-hing.
