LegCo Panel on Home Affairs visits Kowloon Tsai Park and Hong Kong Stadium (with photos)
The Legislative Council ("LegCo") Panel on Home Affairs conducted a visit to the Kowloon Tsai Park and the Hong Kong Stadium today (15 February) to observe the quality of the turf football pitch in order to gain a better understanding of the maintenance work on the turf pitch.
Members first visited the Kowloon Tsai Park to observe a natural turf football pitch and two artificial turf football pitches. Members received a briefing by representatives of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department ("LCSD") on the maintenance work on the two different types of turf pitches.
Afterwards, Members went to the Hong Kong Stadium to observe the turf pitch which was reconstructed in 2015. Members also took this opportunity to learn about the management and improvement measures that enhance the quality of the turf pitch, as well as the effectiveness of such measures from LCSD representatives.
Members who participated in the visit are the Deputy Chairman of the Panel on Home Affairs, Hon YIU Si-wing, along with Panel members, Hon NG Leung-sing, Dr Hon Kenneth CHAN Ka-lok and Hon IP Kin-yuen.
