Motion

Appointment of the Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

The Secretary of Justice moved the following motion and addressed the Council:

"That this Council is in support of the proposal to appoint Mr Andrew K. N. LI as the Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region."

Amendment to the Resolution on the "Terms of Reference of the Working Group on Administrative Matters"

Mr IP Kwok-him moved the following motion and addressed the Council:

"That sub-paragraph (4) of the Resolution on the Terms of Reference of the Working Group on Administrative Matters made and passed on 22 March 1997 be amended by deleting "the registration of Members' interests,"."
