Legislation of Chinese Medicine
Members of the Panel on Health Services were last briefed on this subject, i.e. a proposal to legislate for the regulation of the practice, use and trading of Chinese medicine, in September 1998.

2. To update Members on the present progress, a summary of the major legislative proposals is attached at Annex. We plan to introduce the Chinese Medicine Bill into the Legislative Council in the first quarter of 1999.

3. Members are requested to advise on these legislative proposals.
