Panel on Health Services
(Duty visit from 27 July 2006 to 28 July 2006)
The Legislative Council Panel on Health Services has conducted a 2-day overseas duty visit to Singapore from 27 to 28 July 2006 to study the country's financing models for healthcare services. The purpose of the visit is for Members to obtain first-hand information about the operation of the country's medical saving account system, visit some public and private hospitals and hold discussions with the relevant organisations.
The delegation comprised five members, including Dr Hon KWOK Ka-ki, Panel Chairman and delegation leader; Dr Hon Joseph LEE Kok-long, Deputy Chairman of the Panel; Hon Fred LI Wah-ming and Hon Vincent FANG Kang, both are Panel members; and Hon WONG Yung-kan, a non-Panel member.
