At its meeting on 6 December 2006, the Legislative Council passed the following bill: Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Amendment) Bill 2006, with amendments proposed by the Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food at Committee Stage. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following motion with no legislative effect: Motion on "Strengthening Hong Kong's capability in immediate transhipment", moved by Hon CHAN Kam-lam as amended by Hon SIN Chung-kai.
