At its meeting on 7 May 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following two resolutions: (1) Resolution moved by the Secretary for Food and Health relating to the Pharmacy and Poisons (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulation 2008 and the Poisons List (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulation 2008. (2) Resolution moved by Hon Bernard CHAN relating to the extension of the period for amending the Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) (Amendment: Requirements for Nutrition Labelling and Nutrition Claim) Regulation 2008. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following motion not intended to have legislative effect: Motion on "Strengthening the prevention of communicable diseases for children and the elderly", moved by Hon Andrew CHENG Kar-foo as amended by Hon LI Kwok-ying.
