At its meeting on 14 May 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following two bills: (1) Munsang College and Heep Yunn School (Change of Corporate Names and General Amendments) Bill 2008, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Education at Committee Stage. (2) Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Charity Foundation Bill. At the same meeting, the Council passed the following resolution: Resolution moved by Hon CHAN Kam-lam relating to the extension of the period for amending the Trade Descriptions (Provision of Information on Natural Fei Cui) Order, the Trade Descriptions (Provision of Information on Diamond) Order, the Trade Descriptions (Provision of Information on Regulated Electronic Products) Order, the Trade Descriptions (Marking) (Gold and Gold Alloy) (Amendment) Order 2008, the Trade Descriptions (Marking) (Platinum) (Amendment) Order 2008 and the Trade Descriptions (Definition of Platinum) (Amendment) Regulation 2008. The following motion not intended to have legislative effect was also passed by the Council: Motion on "Perfecting lawn facilities in parks", moved by Hon Bernard CHAN as amended by Hon WONG Kwok-hing, Hon Audrey EU Yuet-mee, Hon Mrs Selina CHOW LIANG Shuk-yee, Hon James TO Kun-sun and Hon CHOY So-yuk.
