2007-2008 		Issue No. 28 (27 June 2008)


At its meeting on 25, 26 and 27 June 2008, the Legislative Council passed the following four bills:

(1)Prevention of Bribery (Amendment) Bill 2007, with amendments moved by the Chief Secretary for Administration at Committee Stage.

(2)Revenue Bill 2008.

(3)Road Traffic Legislation (Amendment) Bill 2008, with amendments moved by the Secretary for Transport and Housing at Committee Stage.

(4)The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Amendment) Bill 2008.


At the same meeting, the Council passed the following two resolutions:

(1)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (Transnational Organized Crime) Order.

(2)Resolution moved by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs relating to the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (Finland) Order.


The following two motions not intended to have legislative effect were also passed by the Council:

(1)Motion on "Report of the Subcommittee on West Kowloon Cultural District Development", moved by Hon Alan LEONG Kah-kit.

(2)Motion on "Enhancing co-operation between Hong Kong and Macao", moved by Hon Jasper TSANG Yok-sing.
