Pursuant to Standing Order 4AA, His Excellency the Governor, the Right Honourable Christopher Francis PATTEN, attended the Council to make a short statement on his visit to the Philippines and to answer questions on the economy.

Eight Members asked questions on the above issues as well as on other topics and the Governor replied.

NEXT SITTING

In accordance with Standing Orders, the President adjourned the Council until Wednesday, 10 January 1996.

Adjourned accordingly at twenty-seven minutes to four o'clock.
