Report on Events of Significant Nature List of Events
The approved trustees are required to report to the MPFA on events of significant nature which include but are not limited to the following :
- any event that causes the approved trustee to contravene the Ordinance, the governing rules of the scheme, or an approval condition; and
- any material change to the approved trustee's capacity or ability to act as an approved trustee, including :
- a systems failure ;
- liquidation or winding-up of the approved trustee if it is a company;
- discontinuation of any continuous financial support provided to the approved trustee;
- the cancellation, expiry or other termination of indemnity insurance;
- the cancellation, expiry or other termination of a performance guarantee if the approved trustee is an individual; and
- any change, death or incapacity of the approved trustee if it is an individual or any director, controller or chief executive of the approved trustee if it is a company.
