Public Health and Municipal services Ordinance (Public Pleasure Grounds) (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) (No. 2) Order 1999 (L.N. 48)

This Order sets aside 3 new places in the Kowloon and New Kowloon area for use as public pleasure grounds under the management and control of the Provisional Urban Council.

It also re-names 3 existing public pleasure grounds in the urban areas.

This Order changes the designated name and address of The Hong Kong Museum of History (Lei Cheng Uk Branch), Tonkin Street to Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, 41 Tonkin Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

Merchant Shipping (Safety) (High Speed Craft) Regulation (L.N. 111 of 1998) (Commencement) Notice 1999 (L.N. 51)


This Notice appoints 1 March 1999 as the day on which the Regulation shall come into operation.

The main purpose of the Regulation is to require certain high speed craft to be constructed, equipped, operated and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the International Code of Safety for High Speed Craft.

Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310)
Business Registration (Amendment) Regulation 1999 (L.N. 52)


This Regulation is intended to rationalise and improve the business registration system in 2 aspects -
  1. to dispense with the need to submit a business registration application in duplicate and to accompany the application with the required fee and levy;

  2. to enable the Commissioner of Inland Revenue to remove from the business register of particulars of businesses that have become untraceable or have left unpaid the required fee and levy and to re-instate the particulars, and to remove superseded or obsolete information from the register.
These improvements are made in addition to those introduced by the Business Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 1999 (3 of 1999) earlier this year and will come into operation on 1 April 1999.
