Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201)
Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 3) Order 1998(L.N. 313)

This Order amends the Schedule to the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) to specify The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and Hong Kong Note Printing Limited as public bodies under the Ordinance. The legal effect of this Order is to apply certain provisions of the Ordinance to govern these two companies, their employees and members.

Official Languages Ordinance (Cap. 5)
Official Languages (Alteration of Text under Section 4D) (No. 2) Order 1998 (L.N. 315)


This Order makes formal alterations to the Chinese texts of certain Ordinances and subsidiary legislation to achieve consistency with the Chinese equivalents of certain expressions, short titles and citations of legislation.

The Order shall come into operation on 5 November 1998.

Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance (Public Pleasure Grounds) (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) (No. 3) Order 1998 (L.N. 316)

This Order (a) sets aside certain places for use as public pleasure grounds in the Urban Council area and (b) provides that specified places shall cease to be public pleasure grounds. The legal effect is to vest the management and control of the new public pleasure grounds in the Provisional Urban Council.

Employees Retraining Ordinance (Amendment of Schedule 2) Notice 1998 (L.N. 317)


By this Notice, the Employees Retraining Board adds three organizations to the list of training bodies capable of providing or conducting retraining courses and supplementary retraining programmes for the purpose of training or retraining trainees to acquire new or enhanced vocational skills or to facilitate their employment.
